FIRST STEPS INCLUDES:

190 Minutes of Video Content

Enjoy live training footage that dives into the process of starting your horse under saddle with positive reinforcement, both with and without an assistant.

15 In-Depth Lessons

Divided into 2 modules for easy-to-digest content. You'll learn about the cues I use, the shaping process I implement, and how to use counter-conditioning and operant conditioning to build new associations.

Support & Community

As a TWE Academy member going through this course, you'll have the opportunity to post into the group for support, or schedule live lessons for feedback & encouragement as you work on this behavior. You'll never be without your community!

Designed to be taken after Saddle Up!, Relaxed & Responsive, & The Willing Equine’s foundation courses (Horsemanship For Harmony, Foundations of Trust, Foundations of Cooperation, and Foundations of Consideration), this self-paced course is for equestrians & equine caregivers who have a good understanding of training with positive reinforcement (covered in earlier TWE courses), and have some experience in the saddle of all experience levels. For those participants that have less experience riding, we recommend additional 1:1 coaching with our TWE coaches (provided as an add-on in the Academy) and supplemental riding instruction.
